The following steps show how we can increase the size of recent documents in windows xp.

1. Open Registry Editor (Type “regedit” on the run windows and press enter)








2. Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

3. On the right pane window of registry editor, right click and from NEW menu click DWORD VALUE menu item:

4. Add a new DWORD VALUE and call it”MaxRecentDoc

5. Double click on MaxRecentDocs item and set the value to your desired number of entries
